Denis O’Connor worked with the medium of glass for many years. He was a pioneer contributor to the evolution of studio glass in Australia during the 1970s and 1980s. However from the late 1980s he reconnected to his art school discovery of drawing the human figure.
“The process of drawing from life for me is to become submerged, informed and responsive, not just to what I am physically observing but also to the digestion and translation of personal human stories and engagement. Listening through drawing”.
